About me

As a child I liked to draw and paint a lot and an education at the Art Academy seemed a logical step. The choice ultimately fell on a chemistry study, which could be combined with a written course at Famous Artists Schools. This course consisted of 18 modules with assignments, in which, among other things, all kinds of drawing and painting techniques were discussed and taught.

In the years after finishing my PhD I had hardly time to paint, but I have always enjoyed drawing portraits of people and animals, usually commissioned. As of 2014 I have taken up painting again full of enthusiasm and dedication.

Since then, many art lovers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and Great Britain have bought my paintings.

I usually work with acrylic paint and I like to combine the technique of acrylic pouring with figurative fine-art painting.
